WHERE CAN I RIDE?

The Pierre and Fort Pierre area offers a variety of routes on all types of surfaces. You'll find fun on pavement, dirt, and gravel for most any skill level. Below are links to common routes enjoyed by the Oahe Wheelmen.

ROAD

Five state highways converge on the river cities and provide scenic options that include the Oahe Dam, Lake Oahe, Lake Sharpe, climbs on river bluffs, and open prairie flats.

MTB / TRAIL

Our community has over 50 miles of recreation trails that offer fun for riders of any skill level. The multi-use trails include singletrack and paved and aggregate recreation trails.

GRAVEL

Hughes County has a traditional grid of rural gravel roads, and the Fort Pierre National Grassland south of Fort Pierre includes gravel roads in Stanley, Jones and Lyman counties.
